SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING Electrical
and Computer Engineering Technology Curriculum The primary focus in your first and second years will be basic AC and DC circuit analysis, semiconductors and linear electronics, computer programming, computer applications, digital electronics, microprocessors, and AC and DC machinery. In addition, you will study applied mathematics, physics, and other General Education courses. There will be plenty of lab work, designed to build confidence in your abilities. The last two years of the program are spent increasing your experience with advanced circuits, microprocessor interfacing, measurements and instrumentation, communication, and controls. You'll enhance your computer capabilities by learning C++ and applying C++ to data acquisition and controls. You'll also incorporate commercial design packages, such as PSPICE and MATLAB, for circuit and system simulations. A minimum of 130 credits is required to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. You must earn at least a grade of C or better in each 300- and 400-level course in the major field.
