Festival of Writing - Meeting "Earth's Eye"
A Festival of Writing in and on the Natural World -- For three days and two nights, live and write with a community of writers in the beautiful surroundings of Penn State Behrend and Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania from Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7, 2011. More information about the festival, including registration, is available in the brochure (PDF format). You may register by using the form included in the brochure or by using the fillable registration form. Act 48 approved.
Spring 2008
At this year’s PCEA (Pennsylvania College English Association) Conference, held in University Park, PA, Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, was represented well by nine participating students. Brie Fleming, Kate Kelecseny and Kara Hesch, introduced by Dr. Greg Morris, presented critical papers. Ben Morris, Devin Faulhaber, and Jacquelyn Hricsina, introduced by Dr. Tom Noyes, gave readings of their fiction, and Brian Morris, Jessica Storm, and Amanda Dziubkowski, introduced by Mr. George Looney, read their poetry and prose. For the sixth year in a row, a Penn State Behrend student won the undergraduate creative writing award for poetry. This year’s recipient was Brian Morris. And for the third year in a row, a Penn State Behrend student won the undergraduate creative writing award for fiction. This year the recipient was Ben Morris.
