Respicimus
The History Majors at Penn State Erie have chartered their own organization: Respicimus ("We Look Back").
The organization is registered with and partially funded by the Student Government Association. It exists to provide extra-curricular programming for audiences with interests in history, to call attention to the history major on campus, and to promote social interaction among its members. Membership is open to everyone in the college community.
The group has sponsored lectures by faculty and visiting scholars, field trips to museums and historical sites, critical viewings of historical films, reports on the development of student independent research projects, discussions about job searches with recent graduates, informational sessions for persons considering graduate school, and a medieval dinner.
