In a society of growing international awareness, where nations are economically, politically, and socially interdependent, employers need people prepared to play an international leadership role within their organization.

Penn State Erie, aware of the global dimension increasingly crucial to all aspects of our lives, offers an interdisciplinary minor in International Studies. The minor may accompany any major, and all courses are open to any qualified student. Graduates receive a special certificate, and the minor is noted on their official transcript.

The International Studies minor is designed for students who wish to supplement their major field of study with international understanding, knowledge of a foreign language, and, when possible, study abroad. The minor consists of 18 to 30 credits, at least 6 of which must be taken at the 400 level.
