Perspectives
A One-Act Theatre Festival

Six one-act plays on paranormal events, freaky first dates, troubled relationships, and life and death encountres.

October 29-31 and November 3-7, 2004

Director's Note

The plays selected for this production have all been winners of the prestigious annual Actors Theatre of Louisville's National Ten-Minute Play Contest . The one-acts are quite diverse in that the material deals with paranormal events, troubled relationships, freaky first dates and life and death encounters. Yet, in every play there is a clash of “perspectives” on a given subject, resulting in a very comedic—or tragic—outcome.

I chose to produce a one-act festival to give as many students as possible the opportunity to participate in a Behrend theatrical production. Approximately thirty students total—actors, stage managers, crew and set builders, from a range of majors/disciplines—have worked together to create this theatrical piece, Perspectives.
