Fieldtrip to Spain

INTST 497C: Spain: A Cultural Encounter gives students the opportunity of personally getting in contact with Spain and the Spaniards. To this end, students will spend ten days (spring break) in Spain where they will be directly exposed to different aspects of Spanish culture and civilization, as well as to the people of the country.

Besides the trip, and in order to help students understand the art, culture, and civilization of Spain, there will be six class meetings at Penn State Erie before the trip and two more after the trip. These classes will consist of lectures, discussions and required readings.

Upon returning from Spain, students will be required to write a paper on a topic of Spanish civilization.
