Tutoring (all tutoring services are free to Behrend College students)

MATH tutoring is primarily for courses through Calculus II, but depending on their backgrounds, tutors can help with physics and higher-level math courses.  Drop-In Hours.  Appointments available (call 898-6140 or email BDtutor@psu.edu).

WRITING tutors give editorial feedback on writing assignments for any course.  They comment on argument, whether assignment criteria have been met, style issues, grammar, etc.   Drop in Hours.Appointments preferred (call 898-6140 or email BDtutor@psu.edu)

ENGINEERING tutoring is primarily for first and second year courses (including math and physics), but depending on their backgrounds, tutors can help with higher-level courses.   Drop-in Hours at REDC 165.

 

OTHER SUBJECTS, COMPUTER PROGRAMS and STUDY SKILLS tutoring is arranged by appointment.

  • Tutoring depends on the availability of a tutor. List of current other subject tutors.  If a tutor isn't listed, it can take two weeks or more to hire one. In the meantime, see your instructor during office hours. Plan ahead! Tutors have classes and exams and aren't available at a moment's notice.
  • To make an appointment, email your name and course title/number (e.g. ECON 002) to BDtutor@psu.edu or call 898-6140.
