Q & A With Track and Field Coach Dave Cooper The women finished 12th at ECAC's for indoor track the day before we left for Florida. The men finished 2nd among teams at the Disney Relays. I think that starts off our outdoor season on the right foot. Who is performing particularly well for the team right now? Dan Mitchell qualified for Nationals in the javelin. Staci qualified for indoor high jump and triple jump. Dennis Scheuer qualified for ECAC's while winning the 400 hurdles. Has anybody really surprised you with what they brought back from the offseason/preseason? Kevin Shugars ran extremely well at Disney, giving us points in several relays plus the 400 hurdles. What is the biggest challenge as your team returns home and prepares for the heart of your schedule? The weather is always a challenge. What are the key match-ups coming up in your schedule? All of our meets are multiple team invitational. The toughest competition could come against Pitt at the Western, PA Championships. What are your expectations for the end of the season and into the postseason? To perform well in our first ever conference meet at the Mason Dixon Championships. Then on to ECACs and Nationals.
