Modem Access

Globe and modemThere are 120 dial-up modems at Penn State Behrend which are capable of ISDN speeds.  These modems offer off-campus students, faculty, and staff dial-up access to the network.  This service allows for Internet browsing, retrieval of email, and connectivity to local network storage space (i.e. "P" accounts).

To connect to the modems at Penn State Behrend, configure your computer to dial 898-7200.  In addition, you must have an active Access Account in order to gain network connectivity.

Modem users who experience connection problems are asked to report them directly to University Park's Office of Telecommunications by completing the Modem Access Trouble Ticket or by calling (814) 865-4NOC (at University Park).
