Career Profiles - Jo Anne Campbell

  1. What do you do?
    I am the Chief Financial Officer for GE Transportation Systems Business.

  2. How did you become interested in this field?
    Right out of college, I went into the Finance Management Training Program (FMP) for two years.

  3. How much education did you need and what degrees?
    I majored in economics and graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1986. I received my MBA from Notre Dame University in 1996.

  4. What were your favorite school subjects and activities?
    I played a lot of sports. They helped me develop leadership skills and encouraged a competitive nature and team skills.

  5. What do you do at work everyday?
    It's very diverse, busy, and challenging.

  6. How do you balance a family and a career?
    It's tough; time management is the key. Schedule time away from work and whatever else you do. Work hard, play hard and defiantly have fun at what you do.

  7. What's the coolest thing about your job?
    I get to move every two years, so I can travel around the world and work in many cultures.
