Fiber-optic connectivity exists throughout the park, providing tenants with the most advanced communications technology. Tenants can choose from a variety of providers including Time Warner, VNet, and One Communications.
Knowledge Center
This shared conference center for park tenants includes three meeting rooms, an informal "great" room with fireplace, distance telecommunications and audiovisual equipment, a catering kitchen, and a series of wooden decks overlooking the adjacent woods.
Parking
Parking at Knowledge Park is free to all tenants.
Tax and Interest-Free Advantages
GEIDC will work with tenants to gain access to state and local financing and tax-abatement programs, which can provide low-interest loans or grants to eligible companies.
Child Care
The Penn State Behrend Early Learning Center provides a warm, supportive environment for children from six weeks to six years of age. Children are encouraged to explore their individuality, understand their special worth, and develop positive feelings about learning through developmentally appropriate activities. Employees of Knowledge Park companies receive priority consideration for enrollment.
Access to Faculty, Staff, Students, and Facilities
The park's location on the campus of Penn State Behrend offers tenants convenient access to the expertise and creativity of faculty members, staff, and students. Interactions include: student internships, part- and full-time employment, class and senior research projects, faculty and staff consulting, research projects, technology transfer, and educational programming.
In addition to Penn State Behrend resources, four other regional colleges and universities support business and industry: Allegheny College, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Gannon University, and Mercyhurst University.
