Since the main purpose of the Knowledge Park is to retain and attract knowledge-based businesses and jobs to Erie, prospective tenant companies must meet certain criteria:

• Must be involved in applied and/or fundamental research and development.
• The success of these companies is dependent upon being on the leading edge of technology.
• Must incorporate emerging technologies in their business.
• Must provide professional and/or technical engineering or scientific services.
• May be involved in new project research and prototype development.
• Employees should have an average salary of $45,000.
