BEHREND'S CAREER FAIR ATTRACTS MORE
THAN EIGHTY ORGANIZATIONS TO RECRUIT STUDENTS

Behrend Career Fair 2004
Penn State Behrend students participated in the 2004 Career Fair. More than 80 organizations took part to recruit students.

Penn State Behrend hosted an All Majors Career Fair on Wednesday, October 13, in the Junker Athletics Center. Representatives, including more than forty alumni recruiters, from eighty-four registered organizations, met with candidates from all majors to discuss job, internship, and career opportunities. More than 475 candidates attended the fair from noon-4:00 p.m.

Both local and national companies were represented including Erie Insurance Group, General Electric, Nationwide Insurance, Exxon Mobile Development Company, and Lancaster Labs. There were opportunities for candidates in all of Behrend's thirty-one majors.

Andrew Watters, associate director of the Career Development Center, said "We were very pleased with the fair.  The organizations attending had many openings and the feedback we have received indicates they were very impressed with the candidates they met.  Many candidates secured interviews as a result of their strong skills and accomplishments presented to recruiters."

A recruiter from one organizations said "I want to tell you that it is the best [fair] of several that I have attended.  The location is great and having help to get material in and out is much appreciated. Mainly though the quality and quantity of attendees was very high."
