IDEAL PREPARATION FOR COLLEGE
What better way to get ready for college than to go to college? That's exactly what you do in both MCE and WISE - go to college classes, with regularly enrolled college students, and do college-level work. You'll learn valuable study techniques, test-taking strategies, and the writing skills that are so important to academic success. And, best of all, both programs are FREE!
AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY
The Minority College Experience and Women in Science and Engineering programs can be an excellent way to get a leg up on higher education. Both are free, both give you an early look at college course work, and both can start you on the path to a degree from one of the region's most prestigious colleges. Plus, by participating in field trips and guest lectures, you'll have an opportunity to see how your college education can be applied to your career.
BOTH PROGRAMS HAVE SIMILAR ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
tudents receive textbooks, parking permits or bus passes for commuting to and from campus, and a stipend for lunch when on campus. The only cost to participants may be admission costs for selected field trips.
There is no tuition charge for MCE or WISE.
