Emphasis is placed on students' academic achievement and intellectual development through a variety of programs and activities. The Honors Interest House is located in ALMY HALL

Freshman Interest Group Housing: In the Fall of 2004 SENAT HALL opened for freshmen who are also enrolled in one of the FIGs (Freshman Interest Groups).  Specifically designed to meet the needs of Freshman students in the FIG program there are 144 places in a suite environment.  The specific FIG groups in Senat Hall vary from year to year) FIG's in Senat Hall.  Students will only be housed in Senat for their first year at Behrend and must remain in the FIG program their first semester. For FIG groups assigned to other halls effort is made to group those FIGs in the same area of the hall.
